Audemars Piguet

ECAL 2012

A selection of pink gold and wood whistles reproducing the singing of birds from the Vallée de Joux, hometown of Audemars Piguet.

The three chosen birds are the Linnet and the Hazel Grouse, two rare and distinctive birds of the Vallée, and the Robin, eternal inhabitant of the trees.

Walking around these forests that I grew up in, what makes me most attach to them is their melody. The nature never sleeps, silence doesn't exist, but true interior peacefulness can be found elsewhere. By just lending ones' ear, a spectator who is willing to listen absorbs all the surrounding sounds, thus creating his or her own symphony of the forest. With these whistles, not only can you communicate with birds, but anyone anywhere around the world can be transported to this magical place thanks to the reproduction of that instrumental composition.

For one instant, the birds sing, the music starts to play, a memory creates a smile, the mind wanders in the woods, everything stops, perchance to dream.
